From 23 January 2023, those responsible for all multiple-occupancy residential buildings in England with storeys over 11 meters in height must: Undertake quarterly checks of all fire doors (including self-closing devices) in the common parts
It will be a legal requirement for the “responsible person”, in multi occupied buildings, which are over 11 metres in height, to ensure that quarterly checks of all Fire Doors (including self closing devices) that open onto a common area are carried out. And to ensure that all flat doors (including self closing devices) that open onto the common areas are inspected on a “Best Endeavour “ basis annually.
